Eleven CCB 8th and 9th grade students, together with their teacher Cristian Anaya from LSP, will spend a month visiting Hereford Cathedral, a school with a lot of history (established in the 12th century!) It is located in the city of Hereford, UK, 26 km east of the Welsh border. This emblematic English school opens its doors to give our students the experience of getting to know new cultures and living with an English family from the 1st to the 29th of May.
“This experience will help me grow as a person. Having an international experience allows me to socialise with different people and to improve my English. I will be staying with a maths teacher and his wife who is also a teacher in Hereford”, commented Sebastián Garcés, a 9th grade student.
As well as having an international experience the CCB students will have the chance to visit historic places in the UK, visiting the city of Cambridge, Cardiff (the capital of Wales) and Bath, the ancient city of the Romans, among others.
Mariana Barona (8th grade) mentions which family she will be staying with and what her expectations are.
“I am going to stay with Mr. and Mrs. Beaven, both are teachers at Hereford and Mr. Beaven also works at Hereford Hospital. I am very excited about visiting Cambridge, I would like to see the city. Being away for a month is a unique and unforgettable moment, I will be very happy after this incredible experience”.
For more than 13 years CCB has had a close relationship with Hereford and this year, for the first time, the exchange will take place under the “Homestay” model.
“I had the experience of living in England, I know quite a lot about their culture and this can help us with the logistics on how to arrive, how to circulate in group, as this will be the first time the students travel alone,” said Cristian Anaya, LSP teacher and accompanying guide to this unforgettable experience that will serve our students to grow as global citizens and internationally minded individuals.

Once estudiantes CCB camino a Hereford Cathedral School
11 estudiantes de grados octavo y noveno del CCB, junto a su profesor Cristian Anaya de LSP, visitarán durante un mes el “Hereford Cathedral School”, una escuela con mucha historia (¡establecida en el Siglo XII!). Está ubicada en la ciudad de Hereford, Reino Unido, a 26 km del este de la frontera de Gales. Esta emblemática escuela inglesa abre sus puertas para brindar a nuestros estudiantes la experiencia de conocer nuevas culturas, vivir con una familia inglesa desde el 1 hasta el 29 de mayo.
“Esta experiencia me ayudará a crecer como persona. Tener una experiencia internacional me permite socializar con diferentes personas, afianzar mi nivel de inglés. Me quedaré en la casa de un profesor de matemáticas y su esposa quien también es profesora en Hereford”. comentó Sebastían Garcés estudiante de 9°.
Además de tener una experiencia internacional los estudiantes CCB tendrán la posibilidad de conocer históricos lugares de Reino Unido, visitando la ciudad de Cambridge, Cardiff capital de Gales y Bath antigua ciudad de romanos, entre otras.

“Me voy a quedar con en la casa del señor y la señora Beaven, ambos son profesores del Hereford y el señor Beaven también trabaja en el hospital de Hereford. Me emociona mucho visitar Cambridge, me gustaría conocer esa ciudad. Estar un mes fuera es un momento único e inolvidable, llegaré muy feliz después de esta increíble experiencia.”
Desde hace más de 13 años el CCB tiene una estrecha relación con Hereford y en esta oportunidad el intercambio se hará con el modelo de “Homestay” (alojamiento en casa de familia) por primera vez.
“Tuve la experiencia de vivir en Inglaterra, conozco bastante su cultura y esto nos puede ayudar a realizar una logística sobre cómo llegar, cómo circular en grupo, siendo esta la primera vez en la que los estudiantes viajan solos.” dijo Cristian Anaya, profesor de LSP y guía acompañante de esta inolvidable experiencia que le servirá para crecer como ciudadanos globales y de mentalidad internacional.
