On September 14th and 16th, two groups of students embarked on an exchange program to England. The first group, consisting of Juan Diego Knobelsdorf, Isabella Hincapie, and Sofía Negrete from tenth grade, will stay for three weeks at Ryde School, located on the Isle of Wight. There, they will attend classes and outdoor nautical activities offered by the school.
On the other hand, the second group, made up of Sara Fernández, Mariana Guerra, Matías Palacio, Daniel Yugueros, Luciana Joven, Manuela Caetano, Simón Barona, Juan Diego Alomia, Valentina Rámirez, and Gregorio Vélez from eighth grade, will receive classes during their stay at Hereford Cathedral School. They will be hosted by English families belonging to the student community for one month. This represents a significant challenge but also an exciting experience for them.
The students shared their feelings and fears. For some, it is their first time participating in an exchange program, while others, who have participated before, approach this journey with more maturity and confidence. They expressed great excitement about the idea of experiencing a new culture, living new adventures, and gaining a broader perspective of the world. They are also excited by the opportunity to improve their English proficiency and represent the values of CCB in another country.
Their parents are also thrilled about this opportunity, despite the nervousness about the distance and time they will be apart. However, they trust that their children will have an enriching adventure and will return with new skills and knowledge. We will be eagerly awaiting their return to hear firsthand about their adventures in English territory!

El pasado 14 y 16 de septiembre, dos grupos de estudiantes partieron a un intercambio en Inglaterra. El primer grupo compuesto por Juan Diego Knobelsdorf, Isabella Hincapie y Sofía Negrete de grado décimo, residirá durante 3 semanas en Ryde School, ubicado en la Isla Wight, donde asistirán a clases y actividades náuticas al aire libre ofrecidas por el colegio.
Por otro lado, el segundo grupo compuesto por Sara Fernández, Mariana Guerra, Matías Palacio, Daniel Yugueros, Luciana Joven, Manuela Caetano, Simón Barona, Juan Diego Alomia, Valentina Rámirez y Gregorio Vélez de 8vo grado, recibirá clases durante su estancia en Hereford Cathedral School y serán acogidos en casas de familias inglesas pertenecientes a la comunidad estudiantil durante un mes. Esto representa un gran reto, pero también una emocionante experiencia para ellos.
Los estudiantes nos contaron sus sentires y temores. Para algunos es la primera vez que hacen un intercambio, para otros la experiencia de haber participado anteriormente les hace afrontar este viaje con más madurez y confianza. Manifestaron gran emoción con la idea de conocer una nueva cultura, vivir nuevas experiencias y permitirse tener una mirada más amplia de lo que es el mundo. Además de estar motivados por la posibilidad de mejorar su nivel de inglés y llevar los valores del CCB a otro país.
Añaden que, sus padres también están entusiasmados por esta oportunidad, a pesar de los nervios por la distancia y el tiempo en que estarán separados. Sin embargo, confían en que sus hijos tendrán una aventura enriquecedora y volverán con nuevas habilidades y conocimientos. ¡Estaremos atentos a su regreso para conocer de primera mano cómo vivieron su aventura en tierras inglesas!
