Our students Antonio Gómez Pumarejo (grade 10) and Sebastián Garcés Blum (grade 12) won the cup along with their team Grecia Polo, in the International Youth Tournament for the Armando Lloreda Cup, which took place at the Club Campestre de Cali from September 6 to 8.
This tournament brought together young people from different nationalities, who formed 5 teams, including the one our students are part of, with two other young people from Argentina and Chile.
The winning team of our students, ‘Grecia Polo’, won the final 9-5 and although they brought the cup home, this tournament leaves them with a much greater prize; the experience of meeting and sharing with people from other countries.
“These tournaments are very demanding, but very beautiful because we also make international friendships that last a lifetime,” commented Antonio.

Nuestros estudiantes Antonio Gómez Pumarejo (grado 10) y Sebastián Garcés Blum (grado 12), se llevaron la copa junto a su equipo Grecia Polo, en el Torneo Internacional Juvenil por la Copa Armando Lloreda, que se llevó a cabo en el Club Campestre de Cali, del 6 al 8 de septiembre.
Este torneo reunió a jóvenes de diferentes nacionalidades, con los cuales se conformaron 5 equipos, entre ellos del que hacen parte nuestros estudiantes, con otros dos jóvenes de Argentina y Chile.
El equipo ganador de nuestros estudiantes, ‘Grecia Polo’, ganó la final 9-5 y aunque se llevaron la copa a casa, este torneo les deja un premio mucho más grande; la experiencia de conocer y compartir con personas de otros países, una misma pasión.
“Estos torneos son muy exigentes, pero muy lindos ya que también hacemos amistades internacionales que nos duran para toda la vida”, comentó Antonio.
